2024 Recap (subtitle: The F Word I’m Scared to Use…) ❤️
Founder.
It’s a word I’ve hesitated to claim because, honestly, it feels big. Bigger than me.
But after this year? I think it’s time.
I started this journey into full time consulting 8+ months ago with nothing but a side business and a lot of free coaching sessions.
2024 looked like this:
500+ coaching hours
300+ free 20 min coaching sessions. Yep, the number shocked me too. That’s just the ones I tracked!
7 HR/Fractional/Consulting orgs served, all amazing companies with great founding/leadership teams I was thrilled to support. Food&Bev, Tech, Services, Skincare, Home Goods, Medical NonProfit.
Supported 30+ people as they launched their own fractional or consulting businesses (fastest growing segment of my business).
Negotiated dozens of severances and offers.
Survived two terrifying emergency surgeries in August.
Built 4 new partnerships with amazing organizations & many new coaches
7 speaking engagements
240 LinkedIn posts since April, finding my voice, sharing my journey, being me.
Thousands of new followers who decided to join this wild journey, 35k milestone coming soon.
Appeared on 6 podcasts and laid the groundwork for launching my own. Career Hacks & Snacks coming soon!
Launched group coaching. The Core Cohort is almost here!
Hired 12 subcontractors to support various projects.
Met 100+ new folks for virtual chats
Beat financial projections & stayed profitable.
Was a mediocre mom & partner.

Highlight:
Founding The Plus One Collective: a new, radical consulting community + business + give back model. Releasing for membership officially soon for hard working solopreneurs with deep generosity and a refusal to follow the old rules. Bringing brilliance, empathy, values to the table to transform how we work and give back. We’re building something bigger than any one of us, a movement.
Best part?
I fell in love again.
With my career, my work, the people I work with, the impact we’re creating together, our ability to be good humans.
For the first time in my career, I feel like I received more than I gave this year. Generosity, kindness, support from so many of you carried me through this wild, messy, magical year.
It wasn’t easy, built on 16-hour days, weekends, no sleep, lots of coffee, family believing in me with full confidence (even before I did), ~8 mil hours on Zoom, days with ZERO time to breathe from 8-5. It's taken a toll for sure.
So, here we are. I made it through 2024 alive! Coffee gripped tightly in one hand & fighting off impostor syndrome with my closed fist in the other.
To everyone who’s been my Plus One this year: thank you, couldn’t have done this without you.
Let’s do it again 2025! Bigger, better, tiny bit more sleep please. (Or not. Who needs sleep when you’ve got dreams, no seriously I do need sleep, it’s basically my whole vision board for 2025).
