Companies don’t ‘give’ you what you’re worth.
They pay you what you ask for!!
Audacious but so appealing right? Confidence like that always is.
But y’all, I’ve been doing this long enough to know: it is 100% true.
You are your own PR firm. Your own hype team. Your own campaign manager.
If you can back it up, put it out there.
Share your wins, loudly and unapologetically (but not obnoxiously, there is nuance here)
Own your narrative before someone else writes it for you. (Don’t let people assume, we all know that old chestnut about ASSuming)
Talk about the impact you bring (receipts included, if you can back it up, you can share it).
Network like you’re running for office ( treat it like what it is; an essential part of your career and business strategy, but do it to make authentic connections)
Hard work matters, but visibility closes deals. The best talent doesn’t wait for permission, they know their value and make sure everyone else does too.
And if you’re not sure where to start? That’s what coaches are here for.
Ask for help. Get the strategy. Back it up. Show it off.
Even more delightful? Have someone like me sceam out at you loudly mid session:
“Girl why are you NOT sharing that giant win on LinkedIn!!!!!”
- you all know who you are, I did this to at least 3 people this week.
🔥 What’s the boldest ask you’ve made in your career? Drop it here.
Let’s normalize the audacity.
