I asked my daughter

I asked my daughter what I should write about on LinkedIn this morning

She said cats and jobs…because obviously she is a 3rd grade genius.

To be clear though, if I ask her about really anything…every single time the answer will be Cats, in some form or another. But this time, I feel like I get it, I can put cats and work together.

Watch me make sense of this unexpected life lesson:

Cats are pros at setting boundaries. They’ll give you attention when *they* feel like it, take up space unapologetically(power stance), and never seem worried about anyone else’s agenda (rugged individualism and hedonism). They love snack breaks (optimum energy). Stretching (yoga) Naps (wellness). Knocking things off a desk for no apparent reason (productive frustration?).

We could all learn something here from our cat mentors and advisors (overlords?).

Know your worth, stop chasing what doesn’t serve you, make people come to you for a change, and when in doubt, shove things (work) physically away from you until they fall to the floor with a satisfying thud and look up like it was the most normal thing to do ever, then fall asleep at your desk sitting up.

Cat flex, for the win.
Get that BCE… big cat energy
